The people behind the brickwork
Brickwright was started by Tony and Dan, two fully qualified bricklayers working across East Devon and west Dorset, based between Exeter and Axminster, on the Devon and Dorset border.
Between us we’ve got over 16 years on the tools, on everything from a simple garden wall to radius brickwork, decorative panels, timber frame and traditional build houses, up to large scale commercial builds such as the retirement villages in Exmouth and Dartmouth and the shops at Cranbrook town centre.
We’ve chosen to work differently. On a new-build site the programme comes first and the finish comes second, and we would both rather do fewer jobs properly than a lot of them quickly. Brickwright is the other end of that. Garden walls, decorative brickwork, and the brickwork on extensions and older houses. Done to the standard the wall deserves rather than the standard the clock allows.

Brickwork and blockwork packages on multiple large schemes across Devon, including the retirement villages in Exmouth and Dartmouth, Home Farm at Pinhoe, Cashmere Park at South Molton, Acorn Homes on Topsham Road, and the shops at Cranbrook town centre.
